wednesday: had a pretty successful day yesterday around the site and got most things sorted.
the mat man came back so we are now the proud owners of a rather smart ‘faux’ carpet plastic mat
for outside the van, yea!
then after lunch we scooted to another campsite, atlantica parc immouran, to see a man (hassan)
about a solar panel!
after a lot of umming and arring, and trying to understand what hassan was saying to us, we have
decided to leave the solar panel for the time being, and hopefully will bump into someone along the
way who can explain it all to us in a way that makes more sense to our unscientific brains!!
after a bit of a nose around the site (v. posh!/full 'til feb!), we headed back to the van, and bought some
necessary fruit and veg in the mad mayhem that is aourir on our way through!
didn’t have time to scoot to agadir in the end but thought as we might be driving through when we leave,
no need.
after our tea we had another quite evening/night, and then woke to another gorgeous day!
leaving aourir today, we were a bit undecided, as its so nice, but in the end we have to keep remembering
that our time in morocco is limited so we need to keep moving - packed up most stuff last night, scooter
on, loo emptied etc, only waste to dump today and general pack-up (lock-down) inside.
all done pretty fast and after saying goodbye to peter and wendy, and paying our bill, we got onto the road
at about 9.30am (MT).
headed to agadir first to get shopping, fuel and money! and it looked like a rather nice place, so we were a
bit sad we never got a chance to visit….we could see the famous crescent shaped beach as we drove down
into the town past the port, docks and fishing harbour.
got everything sorted in one stop and then back onto the road – headed to sidi ouassay, another coastal
campsite, this time inside a national park, the sous massa.
lovely drive on good roads, though some pretty smart moroccan towns – wide streets, newish arcades, not
so much rubbish….
there were lots of motorhomes on the road today – even joined a huge french convoy for a bit - but after
agadir/marjane’s - we were pretty much on our own.
after about an hour or so we arrived at the campsite, camping intl., and its in an amazing location, right on
the beach! : )
we have a fantastic view from our pitch, and can hear the crashing waves from the van….
have had lunch and are now hunting down an internet connection as p’s one not working out here….plan to
stay one or two days here, depending on internet really, before moving on to our last couple of seaside stops.
then we have to start heading back up, through the mountains, towards the ferry at tanger med!
