sunday: up early - after peaceful night - the wind had completely dropped....
leaving today, decided to head on down the coast....but sort of regretted it as we got packed
up! this place does have a nice vibe going on....very chilled! but once we've come off the chocks
best to get going!
onto the road about 10.30am, after paying etc. headed for a mini (6 vans only) site near to
agadir, not even sure if we'll be allowed to stay as billed as a 4x4 stop, but looks nice so we
thought we'd give it a go....
drove out of imsouane a different way, so v. glad we came in on the winding cliff road, then drove
past some awesome scenery (only word for it!), sheer cliffs down to the sea, and a coast-line that
went on as far as the eye could see....jaw-droppingly beautiful it was.
past through taghazout, sufing central, lots of tiny black dots bobbing about on the waves : )
then saw a sign for a new campsite, and thought we'd see what it was like, we were starting
to worry a little about the agadir site after passing lots of huge, rammed places along the
coast....everyone had said that agadir was super busy!
drove along a very bumpy road for what seemed like a very long time and then out onto a
better one and the campsite - what a find!
its a gorgeous place, only opened last year, and not too busy. we have a lovely big pitch,
the chairs are out and we have already had our lunch sitting in the sunshine.
there are pristine facilities, a cafe and a small shop too, so we are thinking of staying
here for a few days and enjoying the luxury, and the weather!

monday: pottered around the site yesterday aft.
found two other english vans, and got chatting to a couple, peter and wendy, who have been on
the site for a couple of weeks; they are full-timers and are moving permanently to morocco
later this year! amazingly they also knew windsor and dee, who we met at ounara! what a small
world : )
a bit later we chatted to anne-marie, also full timing, who came into morocco when we did so
we may bump into her on our way round....
we slept well, very quiet it was, and then woke up to another lovely sunny day.
have got the scooter off, and plan is to take a picnic and scooter through 'paradise
valley' today, which is supposed to be gorgeous, only about an hour or so from here....
nice slow get up and go, and a bit of internetting too, as its much faster in the am : )

tuesday: yesterday was fab! scootered into the valley, only up the road from here, after popping
to aourir for fuel, past all the banana sellers - this place is called 'the banana village' for
obvious reasons!
paradise valley is a 'miel route' - lots of bee hives - that runs all the way to marrakech, but we
just headed for immouzer, about 40km away.
scenery was gorgeous, first through hills, then into a gorge where a small river was flowing, then
out into green mountains, before the bright green fields and almond groves just before immouzer,
we stopped for our picnic on the way in the warm sunshine.
once there we filled up, moroccan style, with much needed fuel, which took a while - mostly p
haggling with the man 'cos the price was so high!!
immouzer is famous for its waterfall, but its just a trickle at mo, doesn't really get going 'til feb.
we stopped for a drink on the way back at a little cafe set on a hill top with a stunning view of the
mountains and talked to a young polish couple, who were camping (in a tent) in the woods, before
getting back on the scoot for the return trip - we really really enjoyed it.
back at the site the usual activity - we had ordered a tagine for 5.30pm (MT) - beef this time, and
again it was delicious - a man came round selling outside mats, so we may get one tom, and peter -
the english man we talked to - had said we might be able to get a solar panel fitted while we are
here, so p is trying to organise that : )
today we may scoot to agadir in the aft., but will see how we get on with stuff around here first....
