nimes to palavas les flots

trying to keep ahead of the rain....

rain
View motorhome adventure on spiderface's travel map.

friday: woke to a very rainy day....another van, english, had arrived lateish last night, so that
made 3 of us! had a chat with them this am, all things motorhome etc., and then paid up, packed
up and onto the road heading for montpellier.
stopped at mcdonalds for an upload session, then a supermarket, before arriving at
the aire at palavas les flots....
a small sea-side town just outside montpellier, so close it's known locally as 'montpellier on sea'!
its a massive motorhome aire, capacity 200 vans! we're parked up next to a small canal where lots of small
boats are moored, in a little enclave of just 4 vans...so it feels like a small aire to us!
there are good facilities here, incl. loo - what a treat! all for a pretty reasonable 13 euros! : )
it's too windy, and wet, to scoot to montpellier, about 20 mins. from here, which was the
plan for today, so p is going to try fishing as it's a good location, c will potter about, and
route plan/find aires for spain etc.!
will have to see what the weather does, but might have to forego montpellier, and the art museum
we'd planned to visit (if we can't get there on the scoot) and keep heading for beziers....
