wednesday: woke to another lovely day....packed up and on the road....glad to get away from
the mossies!
stopped at supermarket for supplies and then back on the road....
not a long journey today, about 50 mins.
drove past the perrier factory at vergeze, and then arrived at the aire just outside nimes....
large wrought iron gates and a buzzer! stood there for a bit pressing the button and waiting...
and were just about to give up and find another aire, when the owner arrived behind us in his
car.....what a lovely man, mon pfeiffer : )
aire is on private land and is gorgeous, there are lovely views, it's peaceful...there is a gite on site
with a swimming pool, but all closed for the season now.
mon p came out with all sorts of tourist info about nimes and the local area, directions about
which roads to use the works....a veritable goldmine of info he was : )
so as it's so nice here we are going to stay a couple of nights, + see nimes later or tom, depends on
the weather....
just had lunch, sitting in the sunshine under the awning, real heat coming through, and doing the
large pile of ever accumulating washing as machines available....
there are two very friendly labradors, belle and diane, they have just lumbered off, backsides swinging,
but they both sat with us, right outside the van for a bit.
it's all very relaxed here - and so far, fingers crossed it lasts - we are on our own!
