romont to nyon (398m)

sunday: woke up to another lovely sunny day - and our amazing view!
spent very peaceful night....even with the tinkling bells down the hill!
packed up at a leisurely pace (for a change) and set off, after much deliberation ref our
route, to nyon, still in switzerland.
drove about 2 hours, hugging lac leman (geneva), via lausanne....and arrived to find a gorgeous
place, very south of france like in look and feel!
found the aire, which has been taken over by the circus trucks, so parked in the car park just
outside of the designated area....means we are away from the services (water and elec), but
not too important as we are charged up pretty much.....found some free wi-fi though, which is
always good : )
got the scooter off and went to explore....WOW! what a place.....lovely tree lined promenade
by the lake, lots of posh boats, smart people, even a ferry to the other side (v. expensive otherwise
we'd have done it!).....looked in a few shops then stopped for a drink and a short bask in
the sunshine.....watching the world go by....
had a naughty ice-cream, wandered for a bit longer, then back on the scoot to the van for
tea....moving on tom, into france, as need elec and wi-fi, for p's work, but really pleased that we
stayed for another night in switzerland....even got a peek of mont blanc when the clouds cleared!
....and you can't ask for more than that really!
